Registrations open soon!

Registrations for the Summer 2019/20 season will open soon.

Players will be notified of teams when trials have been finalised. If you were not able to attend trials, please email the Wests Junior Coordinator to register your intent to play. Position cannot be guaranteed for players that do not trial.

New players and families, please contact the Junior Coordinator to inquire for available positions. We need to know:

  • Girl / Boy

  • DOB

  • Playing experience

  • Current / previous basketball Club


These fees are indicative and may change subject to BACT playing fees increasing:

U10s: $270.56

Division 1 all age groups: $353.80

All other Divisions/ age groups: $322.58

Note 1: Playing fees INCLUDE a 3.9% SportsTG administrative fee imposed on Clubs who must use SportsTG. The 3.9% goes directly to SportsTG - NOT the club.


Note 2: An individual Basketball Australia registration fee of $46.00 is also required each season. This is separate to Wests Club fees and is payable at the same time as registration.

Fees must be paid at the time of registration. Positions will not be secured unless playing fees and registration are paid prior to round one.


Sibling discounts are offered. Please see the Wests payment policy for more information. ​Discounts may be applied for through the Junior Coordinator.

A rebate is also offered to our Coaches and Committee volunteers. If you are interested in a position, please contact the Junior Coordinator. We always need volunteers!!!

Junior Competition

Wests Basketball Club fields teams across multiple divisions from U10s to U19s in the Basketball ACT competition for both Summer and Winter seasons each year.


School term 4 and 1

Registration due mid September 2019

Round one commences 18 October 2019

U10s Girls and Boys: Born 2010 or later

U12s Girls and Boys: Born 2009 - 2010

U14s Girls and Boys: Born 2007 - 2008

U16s Girls and Boys: Born 2005 - 2006

U19s Girls and Boys: Born 2002 - 2004




Our junior team coaches and managers are all volunteers who must hold a valid Working with Vulnerable People Card. The safety and welfare of our players is important to us as we assist our young players to achieve and develop their skills and confidence. More information on coaching can be found here:




Teams train once a week at various locations across the Belconnen region including: Kingsford Smith School HOLT, AIS BRUCE, Canberra High School, JAMISON, Belconnen Basketball Stadium.

Training and game schedules will be released closer to round one. We will not know details until teams are full, nominated and BACT provide the schedule. Please check the BACT website for updates. You will be contacted by the Club or the team coach when we know the finalised details.


Division 1 players are required to wear Wests playing shorts, available to order at our uniform page.

All other divisions may play in pocket less black basketball shorts.

Playing singlets are provided each season but must be returned to the Coach or Team Manager at the last game of the season. Fees may be incurred if players fail to return their singlets.
