Junior Competition

Wests Basketball Club fields teams across multiple divisions from U10s to U19s in the Basketball ACT competition each year.

Round one commences week 12 - 14 March 2021

Season finish in September 2021

Player registration due 20 February 2021

Junior trials will be held week of 1 February 2021. Players must attend trials for skill and ability to be assessed and ensure appropriate placement in teams.

Our junior team coaches and managers are all volunteers who must hold a valid Working with Vulnerable People Card. The safety and welfare of our players is important to us as we assist our young players to achieve and develop their skills and confidence.

Teams train once a week at various locations across the Belconnen region including: Kingsford Smith School HOLT, AIS BRUCE, Canberra High School, JAMISON, Belconnen Basketball Stadium.

Training and game schedules will be released closer to round one. We will not know details until teams are full, nominated and BACT provide the schedule. Please check the BACT website for updates. You will be contacted by the Club or the team coach when we know the finalised details.

Division 1 players are required to wear Wests playing shorts, available to order at our uniform page.

All other divisions may play in pocket less black basketball shorts.

Playing singlets are provided each season but must be returned to the Coach or Team Manager at the last game of the season. Fees may be incurred if players fail to return their singlets.
